In our photography sessions, it’s not uncommon to hear cues like “tickle your partner” – that’s because we want to see real smiles, real laughter, the best and most natural parts of you. Should you choose not to solemnise your marriage at the registry, do ensure to arrange for a licensed solemniser to officiate your wedding and ensure the presence of two witnesses for the validation of the marriage solemnisation.

If you're considering selecting your own solemniser for your ROM ceremony, it's crucial to take these into consideration based on our past experience.
Firstly, solemnisers vary in their attitude and approach. Some may take a more reserved approach, while others are known for their charisma and showmanship, which can greatly influence the atmosphere of your ceremony.
Additionally, it's essential to clarify expectations. While some solemnisers may expect to receive an Ang Pao, others may not, regardless of customary practices. Understanding their preferences beforehand can help avoid any awkward situations on your special day.
Ultimately, choosing a solemniser who aligns with your vision and personalities is key to ensuring a smooth and seamless ROM ceremony.
1 hour is typically enough for just the ROM.
However, we would recommend 2 or more hours so that you could capture the moments after the solemnisation as well. Especially if you have arranged for a lunch or reception after the solemnisation and wish to have photos taken there too.
You will receive your photos in 10-14 days, in a custom online gallery.
Here are 3 key considerations:
- It is advisable to book your ROM and the photoshoot at least 3 months in advance, this will allow ample time for all parties to prepare for the event.
- Feel free to bring any props or items which hold significance to you on the day itself.
- Remember to choose your solemniser wisely!
